Synovate AZTEC has established two separate consumer panels:

 

  • Woolworths Shopper Panel

  • In Home Panel

 

Combined, they allow you the flexibility to monitor purchasing trends over time within Woolworths, Australia’s largest grocery retailer, and validate with purchases from other retail outlets.

 

Woolworths Shopper Panel.

 

 One of the largest continuous consumer panels in the world (50,000 shoppers), it enables brand marketers to gain insights previously unachievable.  The panel is designed to be representative of the entire Woolworths shopper universe, on a State, Metro/Regional & Basket size basis.

 

For the first time you can:

  • Track switching behaviour on a one week price promotion – where the volume came from, and then went to, by Brand!

  • Determine the exact amount of pantry stocking from a promotion

  • Run Comprehensive analyses on products with VERY low penetration.

  • Track products that do not make it into the house.

 

In Home Panel

 

A continuous In Home Panel of 5,000 households.  The sample is representative of the total Australian population, and  demonstrates shopping behaviour from all retailers.

ShopperView provides a level of detail not achievable through scan data alone.  The Woolworths Shopper Panel also is a non-visible intrusion into shopping habits, so consumers will shop for items that they may otherwise not record.  ShopperView therefore allows marketers & sales teams to:

BasketView

 

Synovate AZTEC, as Data Agent for Woolworth’s, Australia’s largest grocery retailer, has obtained access to every single transaction that occurs within all Woolworths supermarkets.  Through BasketView, you too are able to access that information.

 

There are 2 different delivery methods for the BasketView Data, being:

 

  • via Woolworths on Web

  • via integration with Temple databases & SmartView reports.

 

BasketView via Woolworths on Web

 

Available via Woolworths On Web, BasketView is available to you in the shortest possible time frame after the transaction occurs.  BasketView appears as an additional list of reports on your report sidebar, and is in keeping with regular Woolworths On Web reporting screens to assist retrieval.

 

Once a report request has been submitted and processed, an e-mail will be sent back to you, with the attached report in a ready to use Excel format. 

 

Reports include:

 

  • Penetration/Average Weight Of Purchase

  • Promotional Analysis

  • Promotional Analysis by day

  • Common Basket Items

  • Time Of Day, Day Of Week

  • Cross Promotional Impact Analysis

 

Integration in Temple databases & SmartView reports.

 

AZTEC Temple is a powerful interactive tool designed to let users build their own reports either manually or via report wizards. The AZTEC Temple interface can also be pulled directly into Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications via the Temple for Excel & PowerPoint links. 

 

For users requiring quick and easy access to regularly updated standard reports we have developed AZTEC SmartView. The AZTEC SmartView application delivers instant high quality reporting in tabular and graphic formats.

 

By adding several BasketView measures into Temple & SmartView, such as Penetration & Weight of Purchase, users are able to provide accurate insights into consumer buying levels alongside their regular scan data.

Pharmacy Scan Panel

 

 

 

 

 

Synovate Aztec offer a scan based panel to track the Pharmacy distribution channel in both Australia and New Zealand. The representative sample of stores in the panel covers metropolitan and rural areas as well as an excellent cross-section of the various pharmacy banners in both countries.

 

 

 

                

 

 

                

This Pharmacy service provides customers with invaluable information on consumer rather than trade behaviour for the first time. Consumer scan data is particularly important for tracking seasonal lines and new product launches.


Synovate Aztec’s Pharmacy scan panel reports the actual retail price paid by the consumer and hence shows the value of the market in retail dollar value. The weekly collected data is updated on a 4-weekly basis, and is supported by Synovate Aztec’s software applications - Temple, SmartView and Habenero.

This includes linking information such as ex-factory sales, promotional displays, advertising expenditure and weather into the one database. AZTEC D.I.T.O

(data in temple out)

 

 

AZTEC Temple databases can be created directly from a clients own internal data using the AZTEC D.I.T.O Program. This utility takes data from any ODBC data source and creates a Temple database with appropriate filters and hierarchies. Using D.I.T.O, Data Marts can be created from existing Data warehouses. For existing clients this will bring the scan data and internal data onto the same AZTEC Temple platform. D.I.T.O also creates all totalling required and has proven to do this much quicker than existing methods available in data warehouses.
 

 

Some of the many benefits of using D.I.T.O are:-

  • AZTEC D.I.T.O is very quick to do totalling and in some cases has cut days of period reporting.

  • AZTEC D.I.T.O is installed at the customers site, so there is no need to transfer data.

  • Sensitive data can also be loaded into Temple without going offsite.

  • AZTEC D.I.T.O is scaleable. Customers have created AZTEC Temple databases with 25,000 markets and products using Derrick.

  • It can be scheduled to run every night if necessary. Some customers have AZTEC Temple databases with daily data.
