I am delighted to announce the
acquisition of Market Equity, one of Australia's largest independent
full service market research firms.
This is an important addition to Synovate's global network. It
rounds out our Australian offering and marks our arrival in the
customised research market. And what an arrival!
By combining our AZTEC retail tracking offering and the high quality
research services of Market Equity, Synovate is now a force to be
reckoned with Down Under.
Within a year Synovate has gone from no presence in Australia to
becoming a top five firm. And we have even bigger plans. We will
continue to aggressively pursue further growth and look to rapidly
leverage the strengths of these companies throughout our network.
Headquartered in Perth and with offices in Sydney, Darwin and
Adelaide, Market Equity is a business information consultancy with
operations covering market research, marketing planning and
knowledge management.
But perhaps even more importantly, Market Equity is an excellent
business with a great reputation, great clients and great results –
not to mention the 2004 Telstra Western Australian Small Business of
the Year award. Success like that doesn’t happen without a great
team and we’re proud to welcome them to Synovate.
We will move quickly to integrate Market Equity into the group,
giving their existing clients in Australia immediate access to all
Synovate research solutions and our global network - and giving
Synovate clients across the world access to customised research in
Australia via the Synovate network.
Brent Stewart is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Market Equity
and will continue in this capacity, reporting to Peter Snell,
Chairman of Synovate in Asia Pacific.
